Indiana Jones is returning to the big screen in 2019!
The Walt Disney Studios made the announcement this week that a new Indiana Jones film will be released in two years. And, Harrison Ford is returning in the iconic role.
The as-yet-unnamed film will be released on July 19, 2019.
Steven Spielberg – the director of the four previous Indiana Jones films – will direct the new film. Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall will also return.
In the statement from the Studios, chairman Alan Horn said: “Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history, and we can’t wait to bring him back to the screen in 2019. It’s rare to have such a perfect combination of director, producers, actor and role, and we couldn’t be more excited to embark on this adventure with Harrison and Steven.”
The last Indiana Jones film was Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull which was released in 2008.
