The much-anticipated nighttime events at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will not be starting on April 22 as planned.
Disney announced today that the nighttime show Rivers of Light and the evening experiences at the park’s iconic Tree of Life will not open on Earth Day. No official opening day was announced.
The announcement said that additional time was needed to create experiences that would “exceed guests’ expectations.”
Other nighttime offerings at the theme park are supposed to include the Discovery Island Carnivale, Harambe Wildlife Parti, and a nighttime safari experience on Kilimanjaro Safaris. Disney’s announcement did not clearly indicate if all of these nighttime experiences were delayed.
Disney said they will make another announcement in mid- to late-May regarding the new offerings at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
