The Disneyland Resort is preparing to kick off its year-long Diamond Celebration next spring and promises a year full of fun and festivities for guests.
This year, on its 59th anniversary – July 17 – Disneyland announced a new contest, the #Disneyland60Contest. Families and past guests are invited to share their favorite memories via photos that they have taken at Disneyland.
The photos can be from any of the Disneyland Decades – the 1950s, ‘60s, ‘70s, ‘80s, ‘90s, and 2000 to present day. Guests entering the contest can use the hashtag #Disneyland60Contest when sharing the photos on Twitter or Instagram.
Readers on the Disney Parks Blog will vote on the pictures and one guest will be chosen to win a trip to Disneyland for the 60th anniversary next year.
“It’s an incredible time at the Disneyland Resort as we prepare for next year’s Diamond Celebration,” said Michael Colglazier, president, Disneyland Resort. “We’re excited to honor our rich history, to celebrate the incredible magic that fills our resort today, and to create unforgettable memories with our guests for many years to come.”
Photo entries for the Disneyland contest must be received by August 27.
Disneyland will mark its 60th anniversary on July 17, 2015.
