Next month, Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure will undergo some changes in an effort to make the ride more comfortable for guests. This will be the second ride in Cars Land to undergo renovations since its opening in June.
In early October, Disney will be adding more padding to the attraction. According to a spokeswoman for the company, guests have complained about the ride being uncomfortable, and three visitors have filed reports that they sustained injuries or medical problems during the ride. No fault on the part of Disney has been found in two of those reports, but the third has yet to be completed.
Already, Disney crews have added non-skid material on the seats to prevent riders from slipping around. The padding will be added to the back of the seat, near the shoulder area, to hopefully ease guest discomfort.
The ride is expected to remain open during the renovation.
