Disneyland celebrated a construction milestone this week when crews topped off the highest point of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
The tallest peak of the new land – 130 feet in the air – was put in place as the crews on the ground celebrated.
Disneyland Resort cast members had a chance to add their signatures to the steel beams before they were placed at the top. Every Disneyland cast member was invited to take part in the signing.
And soon, more cast members will be working to bring the new land’s attractions to life. The group of select cast members will be sharing their knowledge of operations, parks, and more to create Galaxy’s Edge.
Construction also continues on Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida.
Both lands are slated to open in 2019, with Disneyland’s opening first followed by Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
